Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul musician, actor and songwriter. The accolades she has received include the Grammy Award as well as a Children's and Family Emmy Award as well as a Golden Globe Award. She has also been nominated for an Academy Award. Andra isn't simply an old school R&B singer, her gospel blues and jazz can be heard in a style which is effortless as well as stylish. The album she released her debut Cheers to the Autumn (2015), was an instant record in the hiphop/R&B genre which earned her a variety of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. The song was picked up promptly by radio DJs. Following her joining Warner Bros. Records, she began to work alongside producer Adrian Gurvitz to create their debut record "Cheers to the Fall" (2015). The album included the track Rise up, which was adopted as an anthem by groups for social justice across the globe. Day was nominated for two Grammy Awards which included Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album about the legendary jazz singer's life, was released in the year 2019. That same year she starred in a biopic about Holiday's life The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is an American actress. Her first appearance on television was in and appeared on shows such as Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods. Then she began her film debut through Halloween and its sequels in the role of Allyson. Andi is an American actor born in Framingham on 3rd May 1994.
