Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the character. However, her parents didn't want her to pursue acting until she became older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry states that she did not want to perform in highschool but decided to start playing as a way to make friends during her time at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry relocated into New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California where she found theater jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple in The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was performed in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. The actress also portrayed in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite being a fan of the persona.
